The St. Michael Labor Day Festival wasn’t the only attraction that brought people to St. Michael on Saturday.
The Forest Hills School District unveiled their new mascot, a Ranger, for the first time during a parade down Locust Street.
The mascot was shown to the student body on Thursday but this was a chance for the community to see the fruition of a year long process.
“That’s what we wanted to fulfill for the students and to show them what the forest ranger is," said Jennifer Raptosh, a teacher at Forest Hills. "It was easy to come up with and we think he’s great. Everybody loves him. It’s wonderful to have the community wrapped around us and supporting us and cheering on our ranger.”
