Dariel Williams allegedly shot the woman on Joggins Court in Bowley's Quarters, then stole her car and took a 1-year-old boy with him sometime after 11 p.m., county police said.
The woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. Williams was later identified as the suspect and charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, motor vehicle theft, and the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence.
